.. Spring has officially sprung and we are so excited! Winter is doing its best to hang on but Spring looks like its winning the battle...just! There has been so much going on this year already and it would seem that the world is in a degree of upheaval somewhat. With so much on the news from natural disasters, wars, forest fires, famine and the recent Coronavirus outbreak which has spread to every continent across the world except Antartica it can be a unsettling for some.
The great news is that God still sits on the throne. Regardless of what we see and hear on the news and social media - God is very much in control of it all! Nothing takes God by surprise. Not ever. He’s on the throne and Sovereign over all. He has a plan and is at work on behalf of His people. One thing is for sure when trials and tribulations come - God is right there an ever present help in times of trouble.
In God's word in Isaiah 41:10 God says to Israel, 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.'
Without question, it takes courage to face the times in which we live. But know this, God ordained that we would live in such days and God will empower us to stand firm. With His help, we can do more than survive. We can actually thrive!
Today's thought
God does not say that we will never pass through difficulties or trying times. We will pass through the waters, through the rivers, even through the fire. But God promises us His presence in every circumstance we face, He also promises that nothing will harm us or frustrate His purposes of good for us. Amen
